Attorney General John Ashcroft resigned today. In his letter of resignation submitted to President Bush, he wrote the following:
“I believe that my energies and talents should be directed toward other challenging horizons,” he said.
May I recommend that he actually read the United States Constitution?
He’s goin’ to BROADWAY!
He is in poor health. I guess you are happy. We will welcome our native son,who served us quite well, back home.
I do not wish him poor health. There are people who may be saying that, but I’m not. I can’t ask for him to respect the rights of individuals without giving him the same respect I demand. That doesn’t mean I have to embrace the job he’s done as Attorney General. Enough said.
